Recommended product photo size
Shopee's seller guidance recommends product photos of 1024 x 1024 pixels at a 1:1 (square) ratio, on a white or plain background, with no watermark or distracting text. This tool makes 1200 x 1200 pixel photos, slightly above that.
Tokopedia, TikTok Shop and Lazada also show product photos in a square frame. File-size and photo-count limits are shown on each one's add-product screen; check there before uploading.
Why not crop it?
Cropping a tall phone photo to a square often cuts off the ends of the product. This tool scales the photo down so the whole product fits, then fills the empty sides with white or with the photo's own colours.
Tips for product photos with a phone
- Shoot near a window in daylight. Natural light is more even than room lights.
- Use a plain background: white paper, fabric or a wall.
- Wipe the camera lens before shooting.
- Fill the frame with the product, with a little room at the edges.
