Terms of Service

Last updated 4 September 2026

This document is also published in Bahasa Indonesia. The English version governs if the two differ.

The short version. You upload photos of your own products; we generate catalog photos and promo posters from them. You keep the rights to what you upload and you may use what we generate commercially. Tokens are prepaid and do not expire. A generation that fails does not cost you tokens. Do not upload other people’s products or anything illegal.

1. Who we are, and what this covers

Katalogi (“we”, “us”) provides an AI service that turns photographs of a product into catalog-style product photos and promo graphics. These terms form an agreement between you and us and apply every time you use the service. If you use Katalogi on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Katalogi. You must give a working email address and keep your login secure — activity under your account is your responsibility. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. One person or business, one account: creating multiple accounts to collect the free trial repeatedly is a breach of these terms.

3. Tokens, payment and refunds

How tokens work

If a generation fails

Tokens are held when you start a job and only settled when an image is delivered. If a generation fails, the held tokens return to your balance automatically — a failed photo costs you nothing. Where we deliver a reduced-quality result because our preferred method did not succeed, we release the hold rather than charge you.

Refunds

Because tokens are consumed immediately on use, purchased token packs are generally non-refundable once tokens have been spent. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or a payment succeeded without tokens being credited, contact us and we will correct it. Nothing here limits rights you have under Indonesian consumer law.

4. What you upload

You keep all rights in the photographs and text you upload. You grant us a licence to store and process them for the sole purpose of running the service for you — generating your images, checking uploads against our content rules, and delivering results to you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm that you own or are licensed to use everything you upload. Do not upload photographs of products you have no right to sell or advertise, images containing other people’s trademarks or copyrighted artwork you do not have permission to use, or photographs of identifiable people who have not agreed to it.

5. Acceptable use

Uploads are checked automatically before they are stored. We refuse content that is sexually explicit or depicts sexual activity, and content depicting graphic violence or gore. Ordinary commercial categories — swimwear, lingerie, underwear — are permitted; we are not trying to exclude sellers in those markets.

You also agree not to use Katalogi to:

We do not itemise which rule an upload triggered. That is deliberate — a per-category readout would tell someone exactly how far content can be pushed. But the check is automated and can be wrong: if your upload was refused and you believe that is a mistake, email hello.katalogi@gmail.com and a person will review it.

6. Images we generate

Subject to your having paid for them, you may use the images Katalogi generates for you commercially — including on marketplace listings, social media and advertising — without further payment to us.

Two honest limitations. First, images are generated by an AI model: they may differ from your actual product in detail, colour, finish, scale or included accessories. You are responsible for reviewing every image before you publish it, and for making sure your listing accurately represents what a buyer will receive. Second, because generation is probabilistic, we cannot guarantee a particular result, and similar inputs from different sellers may produce similar outputs. We do not claim ownership of your generated images, and we do not promise they are unique.

7. Availability, and changes to the service

We aim to keep Katalogi available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We depend on third-party providers for generation, storage, payments and email, and an outage at one of them can stop generation. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will tell you.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Katalogi at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms — particularly the acceptable-use rules above, or repeated trial abuse. Where we close an account for a breach, unused tokens are forfeited. Where we close an account for any other reason, we will refund the value of unused purchased tokens.

9. Liability

Katalogi is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost sales, lost profits, or losses arising from a listing you published using a generated image. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which set applies. If we make a material change, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in — we will not treat continued use alone as acceptance of a material change.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and the courts of Indonesia have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country of residence.

12. Language

These terms are published in English and Bahasa Indonesia. The Bahasa Indonesia version is provided in compliance with Law No. 24 of 2009, which requires agreements involving Indonesian parties to be made in the Indonesian language and permits a parallel version in another language. The English version governs if the two differ, until an Indonesian version is expressly designated as the authoritative text on this page. If anything here is unclear, write to us in Bahasa Indonesia and we will answer in Bahasa Indonesia.
